What’s Your Personality Type?

My mother told me from the time I was a little girl that I was the responsible one.

I can also see that I am inherently hardworking, compassionate, and mild-mannered.

But some negative traits are part of who I am too, including being scattered, indecisive, and critical.

And those parts of me have caused some real problems.

So which am I? Good or bad?

Sometimes we look at things about our spouse that drive us crazy seeing them as defects, when really they are just part of their personality.

We all have parts of our personality that are assets.

But we also have parts of us that are liabilities.

Especially when it comes to marriage relationships.

This week on Marriage iQ, our guest, personality expert Marita Tedder, shares some really fun personality profiles that were inspired by ancient Greek thinkers.

Understanding ourself and our spouse, what our strengths and weaknesses are, and how those differences interplay, can actually do wonders for your marriage!

So you might be asking, is it even possible to change negative parts of our personality? In many cases, yes!

Is it also possible to develop new parts of us that don’t come inherently? Again, yes.

But it takes insight and intentionality, two of our Marriage iQ cornerstones.

I am working on becoming more adventurous, fun, creative, less critical, and indecisive.

And in most of those areas I am seeing some real change!

What’s your personality type? And how is it impacting your marriage? Check out this week’s episode to find out!
