Dream. Plan. Love.

Three years ago, we wrote a dream in our journal: “Serve together in Africa.”
At the time, it felt far off—something for someday. But we talked about it often in our weekly couples council. Eventually, it became a goal. Then a plan. Then a plane ticket.

Last month, that vision took us to Rwanda, where we taught self-reliance, trauma healing, and healthy relationships to women who had never even kissed their husbands. We handed out diplomas, danced in the dirt, and gave away 33 sheep. Scott provided life-saving medical care. I watched eyes light up when women learned they had value.

And it all began with a shared vision and a simple conversation.

Action Tip:

This week, ask your spouse:
“What’s one wild, beautiful, or meaningful thing we could work toward—together?”
Write it down. Talk about it weekly. Small steps lead to big impact.

Your marriage isn’t just for surviving. It’s for dreaming, too.
